The Mahjic Rating
The Mahjic Rating is a free, open, transparent rating system for American Mahjong. Every player who plays through a verified source gets a rating automatically at no cost.
We built it so that no single company can monopolize ratings. Your rating belongs to the community.
Why Verification Matters
The official leaderboard only includes verified players. This protects the rankings from ELO farming, duplicate accounts, and bots.
Verification uses Stripe Identity to confirm you're a real person with a government-issued ID. Mahjic never stores your documents.
What the Blue Check Means
The blue checkmark appears next to your name everywhere in the Mahjic ecosystem — club member lists, event rosters, game lobbies, and the leaderboard.
It tells other players: “This person's identity is verified. Their rating is real.”
